What is CVI?

Acuity, Colour & Contrast

In the following pages we will be describing the process of producing the picture in our brain, like a photograph of what our eyes see

Throughout the website we have simulated many photographs. Some have been kindly simulated for us by the expert team at SightSim. The images (made with a beta version of SightSim software), give an approximate indication of how someone with the measured levels of vision shown sees, when compared with someone with typical vision.

Other images we have edited ourselves, but with careful consultation from our experts and those affected by CVI.

The CVI Scotland edited images are for illustrative purposes only, to help demonstrate and explain the different cerebral visual impairments.

Your generous donations will be put to immediate use in supporting our charity...
