What is CVI?

Access to Social Relationships

We know from the many accounts we have heard that both children and adults can find developing and maintaining successful social relationships both difficult and stressful. This includes family relations, friendships, and when older, for some, relationships.

In the following subsections we share real examples, and look at the approaches taken to build successful social relationships. We consider with each example:

  • what the challenges were
  • how the particular area was made perceivable and meaningful
  • the successful approach that was adopted

CVI Scotland aims to bring together the experiences of the many people affected by CVI so that we can learn from one another.
