In June 2020 the reading tool LOOK was upgraded to enable users to log-in and save their settings, for easier future use. This page explains the new features. All existing settings are unchanged, explained in the previous page Look: Settings Instructions.
1) Saving my settings for the first time
Please insert the text you wish to read and adjust the settings to your preferences. All the settings are explained in LOOK: Settings Instructions.
Click play to start LOOK, and enjoy reading.
When you have finished your reading session, click on pause and the screen will freeze.
2) Loading My Settings
To access your page with your settings, as previously saved.
Remember to save your settings again when you have finished your session.
3. Multiple Pages
You can save multiple different pages using the same email address but different passwords. This may be helpful for someone who uses LOOK to read different things, for example a child who needs different passages loaded for different subjects at school. The password names could reflect the text - some people find passwords easier than others, do whatever works for you.
Your email address will only be saved for you to access your page. It will not be shared with anyone or used for any other purpose.
If you wish to subscribe to CVI Scotland's mailing list, you will need to separately sign up here. You do not need to be on our mailing list to use LOOK.
Accounts not accessed for over six months will be deleted.
Your generous donations will be put to immediate use in supporting our charity...
At CVI Scotland we are devoted to helping people understand cerebral visual impairments, and together working towards developing the understanding of this complex condition.
