Not all children with CVI have learning difficulties at school

The effect of CVI upon a child's ability to learn in school varies greatly between one child and the next

  • Some children have mild CVI and learn easily at school
  • Some children have more severe CVI and learn easily at school
  • Some children have mild CVI and find learning at school difficult
  • Some children have more severe CVI and find learning at school difficult

The severity of the child's CVI does not necessarily mean they will have equally severe learning challenges at school.

CVI can cause learning difficulties, but so can other things.

There are no rules, each child with CVI is different.
