This webinar is the second in a series of eight from the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN), presented by Professor Amanda Lueck, Professor Elizabeth Hartmann and Professor Deborah Chen.
Professor Lueck introduces the CVI Profile, which consists of sixteen brain based impairments of vision (what Professor Lueck refers to as the CVI root-causes, as explained in our Newsletter 25). The root-causes matter, and as discussed here, explain why a light box may be helpful for some children with CVI, but may actually create difficulties for others, making learning less accessible, even impossible - potentially causing stress and upset!
Each element of the CVI Profile, for example clarity of vision, contrast and visual fields is explained, focusing on many factors around assessment issues.
This talk is packed full of lived examples from the team's combined extensive experience, working with children who have CVI.
