Television: Watching Very Close

Television: Watching Very Close

Television: Getting very close to the lower part of the screen

Associated with:

Presumed Reason:

  • Getting close to cut out peripheral clutter
  • Watching from below, or watching upside down, to use the better upper vision

Action:

  • Don't stop close watching, watching from below, or upside down watching, because the child has discovered this is the best way to see as much as possible.
  • Consider having a small separate screen for the child (Others can then see!)

Concern:

  • There is no evidence that close watching is bad for the eyes (we all get close to computer screens)
